The Vasquez Family Paint Fight

The Vasquez surprised the kids with a paint fight photo session.  They got to paint a canvas and then each other during the session, we did before and after the fight shots.  It was so much fun, the kids and Mom and Dad really got into it.  Paint was everywhere. It was so much fun planning for this session.

Happy New Year!! 2014 Review

Feeling nostalgic.

So many beautiful souls have opened themselves to me this year. I am so, so grateful. 

My joy is reflected on my subjects’ smiles, the love of a mother looking into her newborn eyes. Or a proud dad posing with his baby girl, my heart breaks at tears. I can tell you if I was excited, or calm. I can tell you what the temperature was, what was said to break the ice and when everyone relaxed into the session. And this is from someone who can’t remember what I wore yesterday. When I capture your memories, I’m also making mine. This is my year — presented in a random order that isn’t random.

And so this is not a “best of” list,  picking the “best” out of so many photos just can't be done, but this is a portrait of who I am in 2014.

Boudoir photography is a great gift to yourself and your loved one. We get busy in our day to day lives and forget what it’s like sometimes to feel beautiful. A boudoir session pampers you and let’s you truly feel like the beautiful person you are. We jam out to some good tunes, and keep it fun, no nudity – I do my best in every boudoir photo-shoot to give a classic, elegant feel to the photographs, and make sure you feel comfortable and enjoy yourself during the photo shoot.

FAQ:

Q) What is a boudoir mini-session?

A) A boudoir mini session is a half hour photo-shoot booked on a select weekend.  The cost is significantly lower since we book multiple portrait shoots all in one day.  You book a time slot for your hair, makeup, & photo shoot. These portrait location will be in El Campo Texas (exact location to be emailed out when booked) and be scheduled between 8am-10am on the selected day. On location, there will be a hair/makeup artist, and the photographer (Jenna Hooker). Champagne and snack will be provided as well.  Choose your favorite lingerie for the shoot, 1-2 outfits allowed for the half-hour shoot.   If you have any questions or can’t decide on your outfit selections show up a bit early with some options so we can help you out.  You can even book your session back to back with some of your friends then have a girls night out after your photo-shoot.  You will already look awesome with your hair & makeup done, so it’s a great time to go out!

Q) How do I contact you to book?

Q) How much is it to book my slot for the photo-shoot?
A) A $50 deposit is due upon booking. That amount will then be applied to your package.  The remaining balance is due on or before the date of the photo shoot. After your shoot you will be able to view/select your top 18-20 photos from your online (password-protected) gallery to be included in your (little black book) album. Additional prints or products may be ordered directly from your online gallery.  Album upgrades are available, inquire for more details.

Q) How should I arrive for my shoot? What should I all bring?

A) Once you book your time slot, I will email you an info email full of tips on how to prep for your shoot, what to bring and how to arrive. Since you’re already here reading this I’ll sum it up . Bring 1-3 outfits, arrive with a clean face/hair down and get a good nights sleep and drink lots of water leading up to the shoot.

Q) What is the location like?
A)  We will be shooting in a historic home and suite that will have plenty of room to take a variety of shots.  Hair & makeup will be done in a additional room, while the bathroom area provides a private changing area for you.

Q) Will my photos be shown on your website or kept private?
A) I never post images from a boudoir photo shoot unless given specific consent to do so.  I understand that because of the nature of the photography, it’s something most women like to keep between them and their man.  However, if you don’t mind sharing your photos, I would love to post them, but that is completely up to you, and what you are comfortable with sharing.
